Illuminating Education: Solar Power for a Remote Community

Located in the heart of Vanrhynsdorp, the library plays a vital role in fostering education and community engagement. However, its location also presented a hurdle – limited access to reliable and cost-effective energy. A consulting engineering company approached SomeWatt Solar, recognizing the potential of solar to empower this vital institution.

Overcoming the Heat: A Solar Installation Built to Last

This project wasn’t without its challenges. Vanrhynsdorp’s scorching temperatures, often exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, demanded a robust and efficient installation. Our dedicated team rose to the occasion, meticulously installing:

• 1x 50kW Deye inverter
• 12x 5.12kWh Deye HV batteries
• 110x 545W Canadian solar panels

Despite the intense heat, the team completed the installation in under three weeks, showcasing their exceptional skill and determination.
